Dimerco Express Group is responding to increased ocean freight business by adding two new offices with a dedicated ocean team to its network based at key ports in China at Qingdao and Xiamen in December 2016.
By the end of October 2016 Dimerco handled over 187,000 TEUs, 32% more than in the same period in 2015 and moved quickly to establish two Diversified International Transportation (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. service centres at two of the top ten ocean hubs to provide more comprehensive coverage of Greater China. The two new offices mark not only another milestone for Dimerco but are also a demonstration of Dimerco’s development of its ongoing dual-brand strategy in both air and ocean freight services.
With a focus on hi-tech products, consumer electronics, clothing, textiles, medical & health and automotive components the official opening of the Qingdao branch at Westin took place on 28th December officiated by Mr. Edward Lin, CEO of Dimerco Express Group and Mr. Johnny Kao, Ocean Freight General Manager of Greater China Region.
The Xiamen Branch will open on December 30th and deal mainly in consumer electronics & equipment, household equipment, clothing and textiles as part of an overall bid to strengthen the specialist ocean team who will be responsible for forming strategic global alliance partners to boost new business in 2017.
