With lifestyle kitchens dominating the current market, it is more important than ever to find the perfect chameleon colour to reflect your versatile kitchen and remain on trend, and the latest collection from Mereway does just that.
Mereway’s Modern Classic collection is British made, which is reflected in the traditional aspects of the design, but features modern twists which blend the classic Brit aesthetic with contemporary chic to create a genuine modern classic in your home.
This ‘Grand Designs’ inspired kitchen (pictured) embodies the spirit of the collection and includes all the key elements of a living kitchen. The intelligent storage solutions and eye catching curved island sit alongside the colour matched free standing larder unit, a personal touch typical of this unique new range.
The colour palette for this kitchen is right on target, with shades of blue making a strong appearance in Pantone’s Fashion Colour Report for spring 2014. Blue is one of the four Modern Classic colour palettes, the muted but striking tones capture the calm of open spaces and wide blue skies, perfect for helping the kitchen merge with the outside environment.
Complementing blue tones are the perfect partner for multi-function kitchens due to the adaptable nature of the colour. For cooking, blue is both soothing and light, for entertaining it can be stylish and atmospheric, and the understated elegance of the palette gives the kitchen an everyday wow factor without overwhelming the rest of the features.
The minimalist and stylish design complements the surrounding full height glazing and coastal views creating a kitchen that is perfectly suited to the architectural style of the home.
