TIME TRAVELLING TOBY LANDS AT THE WARWICK WORDS FESTIVAL
In just two weeks the Warwick Words Festival begins, and flying in to lead a children’s workshop is Time Travelling Toby author Graham Jones.
Mr Jones, who celebrated World Book Day at local bookshop Kenilworth Books, is promoting the first book in his Time Travelling Toby series by hosting an interactive workshop at the festival – complete with build-your-own aeroplane competition!
The book follows the adventures of Toby and his brothers as they travel through time and help RAF pilots to triumph in the Battle of Britain. The book is designed to provoke an interest in national history whilst also giving kids a fun and interesting story to spark their imagination.
The book has been a great hit with kids, critics, parents and teachers, and is the perfect way to get your kids involved in the Warwick Words festival.
Mr Jones will be accompanied by WW2 RAF veteran Tim Wellings who will be taking questions throughout the workshop and relating anecdotes of his years in the RAF.
“Tim and I are so excited to be a part of the festival,” says Mr Jones. “We have lots of great activities planned for the workshop and can’t wait to meet some budding time travellers!”
Graham will be holding his workshop on the 7th of June at 2pm in Northgate Chapel
