Graham Jackson, former MD at Bell Northampton has joined Acres Consultancy, extending the range of consultancy services offered to include leadership, coaching and performance management.

Graham led the change programme at Bell Northampton that led to a transformation of the Bell business into an award winning, luxury lifestyle, retailer of homewares, with an 80% increase in sales in 5 years.

In his role as a business improvement consultant with Acres Consultancy, Graham will work alongside Simon Acres with KBB clients and extend their offering to other retail businesses.

“We are delighted that Graham has joined the team,” says principal director Simon Acres. “Graham has a wealth of management expertise after working at board level for 20 years and is well respected for his successful turnaround of the Bells business.

“His skills are complementary to those we already have in the business, which will benefit our clients that will now have access to a comprehensive set of consultancy service that can support sustainable and profitable business growth.”

Graham added, “I am excited about the opportunities working with Simon and the team will bring. The company has a passion for training and shares my belief that investing in people is key to the success of every business.”

Acres Consultancy has sponsored Andrea Williams, a student studying for the Foundation Degree in Kitchen Design at Buckinghamshire New University.

Andrea funded herself through the first year of the course and is delighted to have received a financial contribution towards the second year of her course from Acres Consultancy.

“I am grateful to Acres Consultancy for their contribution,” says Andrea. “Having completed the first year of the course, I am determined to complete it and fulfil my dream of becoming a kitchen designer. This financial contribution is a great help.”
Principle director Simon Acres says, “We are delighted to support Andrea with her degree. As a new business dedicated to training and education in the industry, we wanted to show our commitment to working with others that promote qualifications and training for our industry, as TKET do with Bucks University.”

Andrea works at Design a Space, a retail business which has two kitchen and interior showrooms in Bucks, and in addition to distance learning, takes time out to attend three long weekend residential sessions each academic year at the university.

Andrea says, “It is a great way to learn, I benefit from learning with industry experts that share how they approach projects and develop imaginative designs. I feel the course is giving me a comprehensive understanding of the industry, is broadening my product knowledge and is inspiring me to become a highly skilled designer.”

Simon Acres, former Group Retail Sales Director of Omega PLC, has launched a new consultancy business, which aims to deliver support services to the KBB sector.

Simon has brought together a team of experienced professionals to offer considered recruitment, accredited sales training, video marketing, social media solutions, end to end web development and business consultancy.

Simon says, “We are very excited about the launch of the new business and looking forward to adding value to our clients’ businesses.

“With a unique range of consultants, we are confident that we will become a first choice KBB provider for all support services.   Our remit is to make a tangible difference, helping our clients to stand out from the competition, improve sales conversions and increase profits.”

The business is located at The Hall, in Raunds, Northamptonshire, with full training facilities.  Dates are available for accredited training courses, every month from February to April, with the next one taking place on 12 February.
