Simon Acres Group has committed to not use any plastic for marketing merchandise at the KBB exhibition (01-04 March NEC Birmingham), and donate the money they would have spent, £5,000, to wellness charities.

The move follows a recent KBB forum on ‘Wellness in the Workplace’, hosted by Simon Acres Group that raised awareness about how many people are affected by mental health issues and the impact this can have on business.

Simon Acres Group principal director Simon Acres says, “We were so moved by the support from our guests at the forum that we wanted to continue the conversation about this taboo topic.  We hope that visitors to our stand will support us and help us make a difference, one that could ultimately lead to saving lives.”

The £5,000 donation will be allocated across three charities, based on the preferences of visitors.  They will be able to select which of the three charities they would like to support when they visit the stand.

The three charities that will benefit are TT Training – Children’s Mental Health, The Samaritans and Mind.

Simon Acres Group can be found at stand N70.

There will be an introductory 25% discount to all new clients who register at the show for any of the recruitment, training, digital marketing, web development or business consultancy services.

KBB and merchant service provider Acres Consultancy has acquired the online recruitment specialist kbbrecruitment.co.uk, expanding their business in line with increasing sales and demand for services.

KBBrecruitment is a niche recruiter for the KBB and home interiors industry that has been established since 2003.  Based in Essex, the company has built a reputation for delivering exceptional service to the jobseeker and the recruiter.

Principal Director at Acres Consultancy, Simon Acres said, “This is a very exciting acquisition that will extend our reach digitally and geographically, enhancing the service we can offer our clients.”

Shelley Moore, director at kbbrecruitment.co.uk said, “We are delighted to have concluded this deal with Acres Consultancy, they are a great match for our business with a similar ethos and core values of honesty, reliability and loyalty.

“This acquisition will assist Acres Consultancy to progress their aim of becoming recognised as the first choice KBB and merchant service provider, making a tangible difference to clients, helping to improve sales conversions and increase profits.”

Well known industry professional Ray Isted is the third KBB professional to take part in Acres Consultancy ‘Industry Legends’ series.
Dedicated KBB and merchant service provider Acres Consultancy launched its Industry Legend films to share the thoughts and advice of some of the most successful professionals in the industry.

Ray’s film covers his early career in senior positions at Whirlpool and explores his thoughts on what it takes to be a successful KBB retailer in today’s market.

He urges retailers to research the local market and have a demonstrable point of difference to enable the customer to make their choice.

Ray says, “Retail is a challenging environment for independent retailers and knowledge is key. It is important to stay up to date and invest in a website and training so that customers can not only see that a retailer is knowledgeable but be able to back this up when they visit the showroom.”

Principal Director at Acres Consultancy, Simon Acres says, “Ray has an in depth understanding of what it takes to build a profitable retail business.  His film is a must see for independent retailers looking for clear, honest advice.”
