Success with R-Raks results in new order from China
Following successful trials in 2014, Chinese automotive logistics specialist SWIFT Transport International Logistics has ordered an additional 100 R-Raks from Trans-Rak International.
According to Trans-Rak managing director Paul Donaldson, transporting finished vehicles across huge distances requires safe, secure shipping and minimal handling to reduce potential for damage and keep costs down. So, when SWIFT was looking to increase efficiency, save on transportation costs and improve customer services, the R-Raks offered a great solution.
“SWIFT is an ambitious, fast growing company and was quick to recognise the potential of the R-Rak re-usable vehicle-racking system, which enables multiple vehicles to be loaded securely and transported in shipping containers,” he said.
Based in Tianjin, SWIFT ships cars from China overland by rail into Russia and onward to Europe; Eldurado Guo, Sales Supervisor & Project Manager for SWIFT reported:
“We ordered an initial 100 R-Raks last year for trials and have been extremely impressed. We have now doubled the number of R-Raks to cope with the rising demand for our services. The R-Raks have been proven to save us time and money, because the system is easy to use, keeps vehicles well protected from damage and speeds up the loading and unloading process.”
He added: “I would like to thank Paul and his talented team for great service. The additional 100 R-Raks have been successfully delivered and installed in SWIFT containers, and we have 200 cars ready for dispatch.”
The R-Raks were manufactured at Trans-Rak’s Chinese factory, which is supporting the company’s growing market in China and the wider Asia region.
