Douglas Macmillan Hospice to Host Marketing Event
The region’s most well-loved hospice, the Douglas Macmillan Hospice in Stoke-on-Trent is hosting a marketing event on 15 March.
The in-house marketing team will make a presentation to members of the professional body, Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) about how they promote the hospice within the local community and maintain the fund raising that is necessary to provide the vital services they offer.
Known affectionately by locals as Dougie Mac, the hospice has been part of people’s lives since it opened in 1973, supporting patients and families facing life limiting conditions from North Staffordshire.
Liz Clarke, Head of Marketing & Communication said, “We are delighted to welcome CIM to the hospice. The hospice has grown considerably since it first opened and we now have a full range of facilities alongside the shops and the fund raising events that all form part of our marketing strategy. We are looking forward to sharing our marketing story and the strength of our partnership with the local community, which has been central to our success.”
Non-members of CIM are welcome to attend for a fee of £8 that includes a tour of the facilities and full buffet, click here to book.
