SPAL Automotive UK, Worcester based arm of the global network of Italian manufacturers of specialist fans and blowers SPAL Group, has appointed Andy Clift as Business Development Manager for After Market sales following a year of extraordinary growth.

Traditionally serving OEMs and tier one suppliers, SPAL UK successfully launched an After Market service in 2009 and saw sales growth of 40% over 2013, securing new OEM contracts as well as After Market customers.

According to Managing Director Matthew Morris, the untapped potential for SPAL in After Market sales is huge and with the company projecting a further 25% growth in sales for 2014, the appointment of Andy Clift is key.

“SPAL is one of the world’s leading providers of fans and blowers to markets as diverse as automotive, agricultural equipment, bus & coach and construction; the introduction of a new generation of brushless motors to supplement the extensive range of traditional “brushed” motors, has enabled us to offer products that deliver higher performance, longer life and lower carbon impact, ultimately saving customers considerable cost. He says. “This year we have made significant inroads, particularly into the refrigerated transport After Market, and our vision now that Andy has joined us is to reach into fresh markets.”

Andy, who joins SPAL from Dometic Group, worldwide supplier of products to sectors including automotive, marine and refrigeration, has extensive experience and a strong track record in After Market sales.

“The opportunity to join a fast-growing, forward looking company with ambitions to break into new markets is really exciting and presents an interesting new challenge for me,” Andy comments. “I can absolutely recognise the potential for SPAL, and am looking forward to building new relationships in SPAL’ s established marketplaces as well as breaking new ground.”

The close of 2013 saw the Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Specialists Association (KBSA) enjoying yet more corporate additions to their member roster.

As the only KBB professional design software that works on PC, MAC natively and Tablets Windows 8. Brand Manager Ted Quiney said, “ProKitchen-EU joined the KBSA to work in conjunction with the best companies within the industry – not only to promote growth in our products, but as a whole within the sector.”

Also joining is Interisoft Ltd – producers of both InteriCAD (Design and Visualisation Software for Interior Designers) and KD Max (Kitchen and Living Space Design and Visualisation Software).
Chairman Patrick Love says, “For Interisoft, the KBSA is integral in maintaining the quality of Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom furniture retailing in the UK.

“I have personally been associated with the association for twenty years and have always found it to be a great source of information for the support of business policy in the market. We have already received excellent exposure for our design and visualisation software ‘KD Max’. We will continue to work with the KBSA team and members to develop presentation and visualisation skills in the sector with KD Max software.”

Ruth Ward, sales and marketing director of the KBSA, agreed, saying, “Our members recognise how important it is to work together in times of recession, and we’re delighted to welcome on board these new members, who have all seen the value of what we offer.”
