In the last month, the KBSA has confirmed eight new retail and corporate members joining- an excellent sign of confidence in the organisation’s services, and renewed buoyancy within the sector.

On the retail side they welcome Ipswich Interiors in Suffolk, and three branches of kitchen designer In-toto at Bath, Ribble Valley and Stirling.

On the corporate front the KBSA welcomes the well-respected German brand, Blanco UK, that supply sinks, taps, worktop systems, cooker hoods and accessories for all market sectors from a new purpose-built HQ, warehouse and distribution centre in Hertfordshire.

Britannia Living is a returning member of the KBSA and brings two other new brands into membership, BEST and Bertazzoni. Britannia is best known for its range cooker collection but also offers cooker hoods and refrigeration.

Chris Honer, Britannia sales director says: “KBSA retail members are ideal partners for our brands as they have a strong customer service ethos and a robust set of financials.

“The KBSA is also a fantastic vehicle for networking within the kitchen industry and offers its corporate members excellent opportunities to talk to the membership and the consumer. Consumer awareness of the KBSA is growing and its endorsement will enhance our overall brand appeal.”

KBSA CEO Graham Ball added, “It is always a pleasure to welcome new members, especially those that have taken the decision to return, it is an encouraging sign that confidence is returning to the sector.

“We look forward to welcoming our new members at the KBSA AGM, national meeting and networking dinner next month, which will be held on 11th September at the Billesley Manor hotel.”

The KBSA (Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Specialists Association) has announced the appointment of two new Board members in the shape of David Charlton and Richard Hibbert.

Graham Ball, chief executive officer of the KBSA, said: “These voluntary positions are vital to the direction and future of the KBSA. Members on the board help shape policy and keep membership vibrant – it’s great to have two new faces and some fresh ideas to help move the association forward.”

Dave Charlton, MD of JD Kitchens in Warrington agrees. David has now taken on the North-West region, saying, “I can’t wait to get started! We’ve been a longstanding member and seen the difference the KBSA can make to the industry. We’ve always dedicated ourselves to upholding their high standards and it will be really exciting to be part of the process from the grass roots stage.”

Richard Hibbert of The Kitchen Showroom Limited, Suffolk will take on the role as Regional Chair for the North of the Thames/North Home counties region. Trading since they sold their first bespoke kitchen in 1989, Richard has long been passionate about all aspects of the industry, from training through to service and design. “It’s a demanding role being part of the board,” says Richard. “However, it’s so vital that people support the organisations that support them. I hope to bring enthusiasm and energy along with me, as well as expertise of course!”

The two new positions will be ratified at the AGM in September.
