DDPR client SPAL automotive proudly supported the university engineering challenge Formula Student 2013, donating engine cooling fans to several UK teams.

Student teams internationally competed to build the best possible car from scratch, they are also required to present their business model and design to a panel before competing in races to determine which car functions best.

SPAL favourite, Team HARE from Huddersfield University, came 15th in the event making them the top British team.

Both SPAL and DDPR are proud to have been part of the Formula Student competition, and offer our warm congratulations to all participants – particularly those whose cars included a SPAL fan.

On the 9th of June, DDPR’s Junior Account Executive, Beth, participated in a 5k Race for Life.

The run is held in several locations nationwide in a bid to raise money for Cancer Research.  Beth described her experience of the race:

‘It was an amazing challenge. The atmosphere was so positive, everybody was in great spirits – it really felt special’

Managing to raise £125, Beth has done the DDPR team proud.

We look forward to continuing the charitable vibe with a coffee morning fundraiser for Cancer Research in September.

Following on from Beth’s Race for Life and Carol’s cycling challenge, DDPR are hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning on the 26th of September.

Coffee Mornings are held across the UK in order to raise money for Macmillan cancer support. Last year the total raised was £15million, all in aid of supporting cancer sufferers and their loved ones.

We will be serving delicious cakes and piping hot coffee, and hope to see you there. Look out for details nearer the time.
